Re State of Ohio v. Keith Turner
Case #: B 0903080 and B 0704943
July 21, 2009
The defendant Keith Turner deemed it acceptable to help himself to property belonging to the victims – Ms. McIntosh, Mr. Jackson and Mr. Faigle. He violated the sanctity of two of the victims’ homes and has also repeatedly disobeyed direct orders from the Court.
Lets examine the time line in these cases. The saga begins in May 2007 when the defendant is arrested for a theft offense against an elderly/disabled person.
November, 2007 the Court sentences the defendant to 2 years of community control.
January 2008, a mere 2 months following sentencing the defendant violates his probation by absconding. A capias is issued
June 2008, he is arrested on the outstanding warrant. The Court deems it appropriate to give the defendant another chance and restores him to community control.
October 2008, he has again absconded and a capias is issued.
November 2008 he is again arrested on the outstanding warrant. What does the Court order -- OR bond.
December 2008 as should have been expected, the defendant fails to appear and yet another capias is issued.
May 2009, the defendant is arrested on new felony charges with the severity of the offenses escalating.
June 2009 the Court decides River City is an appropriate sentence for both the new charges along with the now 2 year old offenses from 2007.
Today – the defendant doesn’t qualify for River City and the Court dares to suggest releasing this hoodlum back on the public by re-sentencing him to probation.
The shenanigans in this case have re-victimized Ms. McIntosh, Mr. Jackson, and Mr. Faigle and have added new victims to these cases – those being the citizens of Price Hill and all of Hamilton County.
This wanton disregard for the victims and community has got to stop! This type of criminal behavior and the manner in which it is dealt by the Court shows wanton disrespect for the victims and citizens of Price Hill and all of Hamilton County.
The impact of this type of criminal behavior by the offender and the response by the Court is immeasurable but severe. It causes citizens to loose faith in our justice system and the Judges and Prosecutors serving it.
Price Hill Court Watch is asking the Court to lock this defendant up. We want him out of Price Hill and Hamilton County. Please do not victimize another citizen because of your lenient sentencing.
We are asking the Court to show no sympathy or leniency. Please be fair to the victims and the citizens you serve.
Respectfully submitted,
