Re State of Ohio v. Jania Allen
Case #: B 0806744-B
October 4, 2008
The location of this offense is highly residential and within two blocks of Seton and Elder High Schools. Ms. Allen lured the victims to an apartment using the guise of an apartment for rent. There her co-defendants at gun point bound the victims with duct tape, stole their credit cards and used them to obtain merchandise and cash.
This type of criminal behavior shows wanton disregard for the victims, Price Hill residents, and the Price Hill community. The impact of this type of criminal behavior on our neighborhood is immeasurable but severe. It leaves in its wake many vacated properties. Residents no longer want to live and work in fear so they leave. Blight and falling property values result. Parents fearing for their children’s welfare are having second thoughts about sending their children to our local schools. We invite you to visit our historic community and see for yourself. We will gladly give you a tour. It won’t take long to illustrate the damage of this type of criminal activity.
Price Hill is asking the Court to give us and all of Cincinnati a break. Lock this defendant up. We want him out of Price Hill. Please do not victimize the Price Hill community again with a lenient sentence
Price Hill Court Watch is asking the Court to show no mercy. We are asking for a sentence of 25 years in the Ohio Department of Corrections with no opportunity for early release.
We are asking the Court to show no sympathy or leniency. Please be fair to the victims, the citizens you serve, and the community of Price Hill.
Respectfully submitted,
Price Hill Court Watch
